Facial Tissue Quality Checklist

A practical quality checklist for comparing facial tissue performance, pack configuration, and repeat-order consistency before approving private-label production.
Facial tissue pack for quality comparison

A facial tissue quality checklist should cover more than a quick softness check. Open the pack, pull several tissues and look at how the product behaves as it is used. The sheet, fold and pack opening all contribute to the result.

Compare samples with their specifications beside them. Differences in sheet size, ply or count can be missed when two packs look similar. A clear sample reference makes those differences easier to discuss and gives repeat orders a useful starting point.

Check more than the first sheet

Look for repeated pulls, tearing, uneven folds and visible dust. Try the pack at different stages of use and record the conditions of the comparison. These are observations, not laboratory results, but they help explain what a buyer wants to improve.

Facial tissue quality checklist: sample record

Record the same details for each facial tissue sample
Check What to record
Sample ID Supplier reference, received date, specification revision and photographs of the pack.
Sheet Unfolded dimensions, ply, material statement and finished tissues per pack. Do not confuse layers with tissue count.
Dispensing Single-sheet release, repeated pulls and tearing. Note how many packs were checked and the stage of use.
Appearance Edges, fold alignment, embossing, visible dust, colour and handfeel against the reference sample.
Pack Opening, seals, unit dimensions and packs per carton. Check fit where the product will be used.
Approval Chosen sample, specification and artwork revisions, unresolved points, approver and date.

Know when a report is needed

Handfeel cannot establish fibre composition, microbiological quality or skin suitability. When a claim or contract requires testing, identify the relevant method, acceptance criteria and report for that product. A factory photograph or another product’s report is not a substitute.

Once a sample is approved, keep it with the specification and packaging files. For a repeat order, identify any intended changes before using that record as the reference.
